License General Information

Fishing licenses must now be purchased on online. You can purchase before coming or at the lodge (at the lodge is preferred to insure you get what you need) BUT ALL bear licenses must now be purchased at the lodge. ALL LICENSES for New Brunswick must now be electronically purchased using a debit or credit card ONLY." ALSO NEW AS PART OF THE NEW ELECTRONIC PURCHASING OF HUNTING LICENSES - IF YOU WERE BORN ON OR AFTER January 1, 1981 and all first-time hunters, REGARDLESS OF AGE, must show proof of a Firearm Safety / Hunter Education Course (gun hunters) or a stand-alone Bowhunter Education course IF USING A bow OR Crossbow. IF HUNTING WITH A FIREARM - A PREVIOUS FIREARM LICENSE IS ACCEPTABLE IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE AGE BRACKET IDENTIFIED ABOVE AND THE SAME THING, IF HUNTING WITH A BOW OR CROSSBOW - A PREVIOUS BOW LICENSE IS ACCEPTABLE IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE AGE BRACKET IDENTIFIED ABOVE. (Handguns are not allowed) All hunters must be 12 years old or older.

Laws:

	No Sunday Hunting.
	No alcoholic beverages in any form while hunting.
	Must be 12 years or older to hunt.
	Firearms must be encased while being transported.
	Seat belts must be worn.
	No handguns allowed in Canada.
	Firearms must be declared at the US Customs prior to bringing them into Canada.
	One guide for every three hunters.
	Hunters 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult.
	A crossbow is prohibited in Canada if it's designed to be aimed and fired with one hand or if it's 500 mm (19.685 inches) or shorter in length, including the stirrup.
	All firearms must be registered at the Canadian Border at a cost of $25 Canadian using the Non-resident firearm Declaration below.
